Going Away for Christmas

Well I'm off to France for a snowboarding Holiday with the Uni. Just finished an Animatic for Abandoned but after showing it off I need to make some drastic changes. for starters I need to show that the Player character is listening to Lisa on the Dictaphone/Intercom. I also need to check out some stuff especially British Playwright Sara Kane. From what I have heared she wrote a lot of Morbid plays similar to the story I wish to make.

Monocles are awesome

Strange Title yes but valid. I was hitting the dry slope with my homeboys. where I fell (in style of corse) and lost my glasses they smashed. Now onto what I've been doing. More work on Lucky currently working on his head no real detail yet but the shape is there. it is based on a dog a S&M mask I miss Euro trash)and here is it. I've also been working on the building our characters will be in already built it, basic texture, light and I'm working on Particle sources for the sandstorm.

Ureal

If you haven't known I am teaching myself Unreal 3. I have so far made up a mock up leval with lighting. Now I have finally worked on partically effect. All I'm doing so far is making sparks hopefully I will be make sand storms soon for my project. also her are some more concepts for Abandoned.

Well I've decided to give my personal project its own blog and here it is Abandoned

Well I've Finished (or I think I've finished two of my concept images for my side project both of them use different images nothing hand drawn. I'm more focused on getting the lighting just right to create a daunting environment.

Game City

Well I'm back from GameCity which was great but my Wallet took a beating. Got some Toys, Boondocks book loads of Monster and did some stuff for the website. Before I went off I met up with some guys from Tales of Tales which was great I showed them some stuff and basically told me I should just make a game like now. So with some ideas and inspiration I've got some ideas. the first is a first person ghost story set in an abandoned building.
There was some real cool stuff in Nottingham one of many was Crysis Live shown here:

The same guys did a final day project at the exclusive final night party based on Left 4 Dead which was basically like an old school haunted house walk through but on Steroids where you were shoved into the other half of the building, in the dark, asked to retrive a suitcase and given a tourch as a weapon. So to kill a Zombie you had to kill a zombie you had to aim the tourch and count to 6 while remaining still. I lost but it was amazing and I hope they do it next year.

Darn You Powerpoint

I'm currentlly the head of producing the powerpoint for my team on this project. I've done this weird thing, I don't know what to call it but I've done this for all the pictures.

Also since we've been huddled around my computer I've been showing off some games I have including Portal, The Path, FATALE (Very short) and Dear Eisther. My favorite out of the lot is Dear Eisther because it isn't so much as a game but an interative 70s BBC Drama.

well today must be my lucky day I was able to find a parking space on a tuesday morning I just got into my class before it started and I have the chance to work on more of my presentation. maybey a game of Five Finger Fillet. oh before I cut my fingers off I have just put down a new artical.

Well I've done some work on the project and really I can't see what we need to do from here. We need to do over it with all the guys in the group but we got a fair idea on the music and mechanics.

Hello is anyone there

Well... I guess this is my first post, I wonder what to talk about well I missed half of my Lecture today but I did get to see Metropolis. It's a good film a real visual treat, The CGI was oddly the best moments. Not like Outpost. So I need to do a 2000 word essay over the course of 6 weeks and a 10 minute presentation. My other Project is to make a concept document for a game based on nature. I'm working with three other people and we have concluded on a design where the player has power over wind and rain in order to get water from a Lake to the sea. Currently the Game Waffle is doing Ok in its first week.
